NEW AD: Sheriffs Call Out Rob Wittman’s Lies Against Shannon Taylor

Multiple local fact checkers called Wittman’s attacks false. Sheriffs say Taylor’s record speaks for itself.

HENRICO, Va. — Today, Shannon Taylor, Henrico County’s top prosecutor and candidate for Congress in VA-01, released a new ad featuring members of law enforcement pushing back on Rob Wittman’s lies. The ad calls out Wittman for his false attacks and highlights Shannon’s tough-on-crime record and willingness to stand up to her own party. 

The ad cites independent fact-checks from WAVY’s Truth Tracker and 12 On Your Side that both found Wittman’s attacks to be false. The ad then lets the sheriffs set the record straight. As Henrico’s top prosecutor, Taylor has overseen a historic 86% drop in murders, put away fentanyl dealers and fraudsters, and led the way on prosecuting sex trafficking. That record has earned her the endorsement of law enforcement leaders across Virginia who know she’ll hold anyone accountable.
